Nutritional values
The body needs the trace element zinc for a powerful defence force. Shellfish such as shrimps contain particularly high amounts of it. The organism needs an extra portion of zinc whenever it needs to form new tissue - for example, in the case of injuries, burns or after operations.
Don't just buy any apple! With regard to the vitamin C content, there are huge differences depending on the variety. Old, long almost forgotten apple varieties perform particularly well - ask your market trader about this. Of the common varieties, the Red Boskoop is far ahead.

Preparation steps
Bring 180 ml (approximately 3/4 cup) water with a pinch of salt to a boil. Stir in couscous, cover, remove from heat and allow to sit for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile peel onions, halve and thinly slice.
Rinse mint, shake dry, pluck off leaves and chop coarsely.
Rinse apples, cut into quarters, remove seeds and cut flesh into small pieces.
Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan and sauté onions for 2 minutes. Add apple pieces and cook briefly to soften.
Fluff couscous with a fork. Mix couscous, mint, and broth into onion-apple mixture. Season with salt and pepper.
Rinse shrimp in a sieve and thoroughly pat dry with paper towels.
In a grill pan, heat remaining oil and fry shrimp on each side for 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and serve with apple and onion couscous.
