- 2 ounces Dried dates (without pit)
- 4 ounces Mixed nuts
- 1 ounce cocoa powder
- 9 ounces old fashioned Oats
- 2 tablespoons flaxseed
- 7 ounces Dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa content)
- 3 tablespoons Hazelnut butter
- 10 ounces apple sauce
- 5 teaspoons unsweetened Spelt flakes
- 1 ounce puffed Amaranth
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon Vanilla
- ½ teaspoon ground Cardamom
- 1 teaspoon Organic orange peel

Preparation steps
Coarsely chop dates, nuts, cocoa powder, oat flakes and linseed in a food processor or a powerful mixer.
Chop 3.5 ounces of chocolate and stir into the date mix together with hazelnut puree, apple sauce, spelt flakes, amaranth, and spices.
Pour the mixture into a baking tin lined with baking paper and press down well. Bake in a preheated oven at 390°F for 20-25 minutes until the surface is browned. Then allow to cool in the mold.
Remove the chocolate bars from the tin and baking paper, cut into 16 bars. Melt the rest of the chocolate, decorate the bar with it and let it cool down.
