Kitchen utensils

1 Cutting board, 1 Large knife, 1 large Non-stick pan, 1 Sieve, 1 Small knife, 2 Bowls (1 small, 1 large), 1 small Whisk, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Wooden spoon, 1 Plate, 2 Storage containers (1x 500 ml, 1 x 1.5 liters)

Preparation steps

1.
Crispy Bread and Cheese Salad preparation step 1

Cut bread into 1 cm (approximately 1/2-inch) cubes and toast in a dry non-stick pan over medium heat until crisp and golden brown, about 4 minutes. Transfer to a plate and let cool.

2.
Crispy Bread and Cheese Salad preparation step 2

Meanwhile, soak raisins in a bowl of hot water until softened, then drain. For the dressing, whisk together the vinegar with some salt and pepper and the safflower oil.

3.
Crispy Bread and Cheese Salad preparation step 3

Rinse apples, cut each apple on 4 sides into thin slices (about 5 mm) (approximately 1/4 inch) until you reach the core, then cut the slices into fine dice. Mix diced apples and raisins with the dressing.

4.
Crispy Bread and Cheese Salad preparation step 4

Rinse radishes, drain and trim. Set small radish leaves aside for garnish. Cut radishes into quarters.

5.
Crispy Bread and Cheese Salad preparation step 5

Cut the cheese slices into large squares (about 2 cm) (approximately 3/4 inch). Rinse parsley, shake dry and pluck leaves.

6.
Crispy Bread and Cheese Salad preparation step 6

Mix cheese, parsley, remaining radish leaves and the diced radish into the dressing. Season with salt and pepper.

7.
Crispy Bread and Cheese Salad preparation step 7

If transporting the salad, put it in a large storage container (about 1.5 liter/approximately 1 1/2-quart capacity). Place croutons in a smaller container (about 500 ml/approximately 2-cup capacity). To serve, sprinkle croutons over radish salad mixture and toss to combine.
