Preparation steps

1.

Preheat the oven to 170°C (approximately 350ºF) and grease a baking dish with butter.

Peel and rinse the potatoes and cut or plane into thin slices. Peel and chop the garlic and scatter over the bottom of the baking dish. Season with salt.

Whisk the cream with the milk. Layer the potatoes in the dish and pour the cream-milk mixture over them. Season with nutmeg and salt and bake for about 45 minutes until golden brown.

Serve hot.
