- 600 grams Ground beef
- 2 onions
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 green Bell pepper
- 2 Red chili peppers
- 125 grams Smoked bacon
- 2 Tbsps vegetable oil
- 1 ⅕ liters Beef broth
- 400 grams Kidney beans (canned)
- 800 grams blanched Tomatoes (canned)
- 1 Tbsp Chili powder
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
Preparation steps

Peel onions and garlic and chop finely. Rinse bell peppers, cut in half, remove seeds and ribs and cut into cubes. Rinse chile peppers, cut in half lengthwise, remove seeds and chop very finely. Finely dice bacon. Heat oil in a large pot, sauté onions and garlic until translucent. Add ground beef, fry over high heat until browned and crumbly and then season with salt and pepper.

Add bacon, chile peppers and bell peppers and fry briefly. Then add broth and beans. Crush tomatoes with a fork, add to the pot and season with chili powder. Cover, simmer for about 30 minutes and season to taste. Serve in bowls. Serve garnished with avocado slices if desired.
