Poultry and Brassica Stir Fry
Suggested variations: Chicken with Mange Tout or Sugar Snap Peas Both of these would add sweet green crunch
Heat the oil in a wok and stir fry the chicken briskly until golden. Add the vegetables, garlic, soy, dissolved cornflour and star anise and reduce the heat.
Bubble up until the sauce is slightly thickened and glossy and the chicken is cooked. The broccoli should retain some bite.
Remove the star anise before serving.
