- 500 grams Whole wheat flour
- 1 packet Dry yeast
- 30 grams Goose fat (room temperature)
- ½ Tbsp salt
- 4 Tbsps dried fried onion
- 1 egg
Preparation steps
1.
Mix the flour with the yeast. Add the goose fat, the salt and the fried onions. Gradually knead together with 350 ml water (approximately 1 1/2 cups) until the dough has become smooth. Form into a ball, cover with a damp cloth and leave to rise for 60 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 250°C (approximately 475ºF).
4.
Whisk the egg and brush the dough with it.
Place a bowl of boiling water on the bottom of the oven and slide the baking sheet in. Reduce the temperature to 200°C (approximately 400ºF) and bake for 35-40 minutes.
Serve warm or cooled.
