150 grams Pastry flour
75 grams powdered sugar
100 grams ground almonds
100 grams cold butter
1 egg
2 Tbsps Rose water
For decoration
1 egg white
250 grams slivered almonds

Preparation steps

1.

Combine the ingredients for the cookies in a bowl and chop with a knife until crumbly. Quickly knead to a smooth dough. Shape into a ball and chill for 2 hours.

Roll the dough between 2 layers of plastic wrap out thinly. Cut out flower shaped cookies. Place on a parchment-lined baking tray.

Whisk the egg whites, brush on the cookies and the almonds.

Arrange the almonds on top of the cookies in a rosette-like pattern. Use the egg white as glue. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (approximately 350°F) for about 8 minutes, until crisp. Let cool and serve as desired.
