400 milliliters milk

75 grams short grain rice
1 sm can Saffron
50 grams sugar
2 Tbsps Rose water
2 Tbsps raisins

Preparation steps

Rinse rice in colander under running water. Drain. Dissolve saffron in little water.

Bring milk with a pinch of salt to a boil, add rice, stir in saffron and cook, covered, on lowest heat for about 25 minutes. Simmer until rice is tender and all liquid is almost absorbed. Add rose water and raisins, pour into serving bowls, sprinkle with cinnamon and serve hot or cold.
