1 large, ruby red Grapefruit
1 pkg cherry, JELL-O® gelatin (or your favorite brand or flavor)
¾ cup boiling water
½ cup cold water

Preparation steps

1.
Cut oranges and grapefruit in half crosswise. Using a grapefruit knife remove the centers of the oranges and grapefruit and chop into bite size pieces. Chill orange and grapefruit halves in the refrigerator, along with the fruit.

Combine gelatin and boiling water, , stirring for about 2 minutes or until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Combine cold water and ice cubes to make 1 1/4 cups. Stir cold water and ice into gelatin mixture, stirring until gelatin thickens. Remove any unmelted ice.
3.
Add chopped fruit pieces to gelatin. Chill until gelatin is very thick, about 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Spoon fruited gelatin into the hollowed oranges and grapefruit. Chill until ready to serve.
