- 2 Tbsps fresh lemon juice
- 2 Tbsps water (as needed)
- ½ cup sugar (or to taste)
- 1 medium Cinnamon stick

Put the apples in the slow cooker and toss with the lemon juice. If the apples

seem unusually dry, add the water to the cooker. Place cinnamon stick in with the apples. Cover and cook until the apples are tender and falling apart, on HIGH for 3 to 31?2 hours or on LOW for

to 6 hours.

After cooking, remove the cinnamon stick from the crock pot. Purée the cooked apples in a food processor, or in the cooker with a handheld immersion blender. Add sugar to taste, if desired. Serve immediately or refrigerate and serve cold. The applesauce will keep, tightly covered, for 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
