70 grams Horseradish (plus more to taste)

Preparation steps

Peel and quarter the apples. Remove the core and finely dice. Peel and finely grate the horseradish. Add the apples, sugar, 1/2-1 teaspoon of salt and 4-5 tablespoons of water to a saucepan. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes over medium heat.

Remove the pan from the heat, and puree the mixture. Add the horseradish and vinegar, and stir until combined. bring to a boil, and season to taste. Place the applesauce into prepared, clean jars. Seal tightly, and turn upside down to cool completely.
