Pickled herrings (coarsely chopped)

Cornichons (sliced)

Bananas (peeled and sliced)

Leberkäse (about 1 cm thick)

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse and scrub the potatoes thoroughly and cook in a pot of boiling salted water until knife-tender, about 30 minutes. Drain and let the water evaporate. Cook the bacon in a skillet until crisp. 

2.

Halve the potatoes lengthwise. Alternately fill with tomato, cornichon and herring or with bacon, banana or sliced meatloaf.
