150 milliliters White vinegar
20 grams Sea salt
100 grams brown sugar
100 grams honey
1 Tbsp black peppercorns
1 tsp cloves
2 dried chili peppers

Preparation steps

Pour boiling water over onions. Remove skins and blanch 2-3 minutes in salted boiling water. Remove and drain. Add vinegar, 150 ml (approximately 2/3 cup) water, salt, sugar, honey, peppercorns, cloves, and chiles to pot. Bring to a boil.

Divide onions among hot, sterilized jars. Top with hot vinegar mixture to cover. Seal tightly. For best results, let stand a week before eating.
