- butter (and flour for the tin)
- ⅓ cup butter
- ⅓ cup raw cane sugar
- ⅓ cup white sugar
- 1 Tbsp Vanilla sugar
- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ tsp Baking powder
- ⅛ tsp baking soda
- 1 egg
- 0.167 cup salted Peanut butter
- ⅔ cup unsalted Peanuts (roughly chopped)

Preparation steps
1.
Heat the oven to 200°C (180°C in a fan oven), 400°F, gas 6. Butter the tin and dust with flour.
2.
In a small sauce pan, melt the butter with the brown, white and vanilla sugars. Transfer to a mixing bowl to cool.
3.
Mix together the flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda and a pinch of salt.
4.
Stir the egg and peanut butter into the sugar and butter mixture, then add the flour and mix to incorporate. Finally stir in the peanuts. Spoon the mixture into the tin, smooth the top flat and bake for 25 minutes (cocktail stick test).
5.
Leave to cool, and cut into pieces before serving.
