1 day-old White roll
5 Tbsps milk
½ handful parsley
1 onion
1 garlic clove
1 bay leaf
4 Tbsps vegetable oil
500 grams mixed Ground meat
1 egg yolk
1 pinch allspice
1 pinch ground ginger
salt
freshly ground peppers

Preparation steps

Soak bread in milk..

Rinse parsley, shake dry and chop finely. Peel onion and garlic, dice finely. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan and saute onion and garlic with bay leaf until translucent. Remove bay leaf and mix onion and garlic with well-squeezed bread, ground meat, egg yolk, parsley, allspice, ginger powder, salt and pepper. Knead into malleable mixture.

With wet hands, shape into meatballs. Heat 3-4 tablespoons of oil in a pan and cook meatballs, few at a time, for about 10 minutes or until golden brown on all sides. Serve with fresh salad.
