Preparation steps

Peel and finely grate the carrot. Rinse the apples, peel, halve, core and finely grate. Mix the carrot, apple, salt, pepper, lemon juice, 3 tablespoons of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of water. Let sit for 10 minutes.

Toast the bread slices on both sides, then spread with the carrot mixture. Serve immediately, garnished with 1-2 tablespoons of parmesan and basil leaves.
