Add the macadamia nuts and 1/4 cup buttermilk to a tall vessel and puree with an immersion blender.

Add apple juice and ice cubes to the macadamia milk mixture and blend until frothy. Pour into glasses and drizzle 1 tablespoon of grenadine into each glass.
