¼ cup sugar
½ cup light brown sugar
1 large egg (beaten)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
½ cup ground Hazelnuts
1 tsp Baking powder
¾ cup chopped Dark chocolate (60% cocoa solids)

Preparation steps

1.
Heat the oven to 180°C (160° fan) 350°F gas 4. Line 2 large baking trays with non-stick baking paper.

Beat the butter with the sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy in a mixing bowl. Gradually beat in the egg and vanilla.
3.
Mix together the flour, hazelnuts, and baking powder and stir in gently. Fold in the chopped chocolate.
4.
Put teaspoonfuls of the mixture on the baking trays, leaving about 5 cm|2" between them. Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden. Cool on the baking trays for a few minutes, then place on a wire rack to cool completely.
