800 grams waxy potatoes (boiled, peeled)

Preparation steps

Grate the potatoes and season with salt and nutmeg.

Peel the onion and dice finely. Sweat in 2 tablespoons butter until translucent. Add the potatoes and sauté for about 2 minutes, without stirring. Press firmly into the pan. Spread 1/2 of the remaining butter over the potato pancake, cover and let cook until golden brown, about 6 minutes over low heat. Flip the pancake over, spread the remaining butter over top and cook for about 6 more minutes, covered. Cut into coarse pieces to serve.
