Ingredients
350 grams Puff pastry dough
1 egg yolk
200 grams Neufchâtel Cheese
2 Piquillo Bell pepper
2 sprigs thyme
How healthy are the main ingredients?
thyme

Preparation steps

1.

Cut out 24 hearts from the puff pastry. Cut a slightly smaller heart from the center of 12 of the pastry hearts to create heart "frames". Brush the edges of the hearts with egg yolk and cover with the frames, then brush with again with egg yolk. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

2.

Preheat the oven to 200°C (approximately 400°F).

3.

Cut the cheese into small cubes. Rinse the peppers, cut in half, remove the seeds and membranes and finely chop. Pluck off the thyme and mix with the peppers and the cheese. Spoon into the hearts and bake until golden brown, about 20 minutes. Serve while still warm or cooled.
