100 grams Cherry tomatoes
3 Tbsps olive oil
1 Tbsp powdered sugar
Sea salt
freshly ground peppers
4 Whole wheat buns (or 8 slices Dark Baguette)
200 grams Halloumi cheese
Basil (for garnish)

Preparation steps

1.

Preheat the oven to 100°C (approximately 215°F). 

2.

Rinse and halve the tomatoes. brush a small baking dish with a little oil. Place the tomatoes in the baking dish cut side up. Sprinkle with the powdered sugar, then season with salt and pepper. Bake in the oven for 1 1/2 hours. 

3.

Halve the rolls in the oven, and bake for 10 minutes until crisp. 

4.

Cut the halloumi into 8 slices, and brush with the remaining oil. Cook in a grill pan (or on the grill) for 2 minutes on each side. 

5.

Top the bread halves with the cheese and two tomato halves. Garnish with the basil and serve.
