Preparation steps

1.

Rinse and quarter the tomatoes. Remove the seeds and finely dice. Peel the garlic. Finely chop the garlic and the scallions. Mix the garlic and the scallions with the tomatoes, oil, and vinegar. Season to taste with salt and pepper. 

2.

Cut the bread into 1 cm (approximately 1/2 inch) thick slices. Place on a baking sheet and toast for 5 minutes in a 250°C (approximately 485°F) degree oven. Remove from the oven and top with the tomato mixture. Garnish with the basil and serve.
