1 chicken (1.2 kg)
2 potatoes
2 carrots
1 onion
1 clove garlic cloves
½ red chili pepper
1 stalk Leeks
1 Tbsp Sesame seeds
5 Tbsps soy sauce
1 Tbsp Chili powder

1 Tbsp sesame oil
700 milliliters water

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse the chicken, pat dry and chop into large pieces. Rinse, peel and dice the potatoes and carrots into large pieces.

Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Rinse the chile, pat dry, remove seeds and ribs, and cut into strips. Slice the leek into diagonal pieces. Toast the sesame seeds in a dry skillet until golden. Place in a mortar and grind.

In a bowl, stir the ground sesame seeds with the soy sauce, garlic, chili powder, sugar and sesame oil.

Heat the oil  in a large pot. Add the chicken pieces to sear until golden. Add the potatoes, carrots, onions, chile and leek. Stir in the soy sauce mixture. Add enough water to cover. Bring to a boil and reduce to medium heat. Allow to cook for 1 hour, adding more water if necessary. Season with soy sauce to taste and serve.
