1 Bread loaf pan (1.5 liters)
600 grams Whole wheat flour
250 milliliters lukewarm water
1 cube Yeast
1 tsp cane sugar
1 pinch salt
butter (for the pan)
2 Tbsps Oats

Preparation steps

Dissolve the yeast with the sugar in the warm water. Stir until smooth.

Combine the flour and salt in a mixing bowl. Add the dissolved yeast and knead with the kneading hook of am electric hand mixer to form an elastic dough. If necessary add extra flour or water. Cover and let the dough sit in a warm place for about 45 minutes.

Knead the dough on a floured surface and shape into a loaf. Sprinkle oatmeal on the work surface. Roll the loaf in the oatmeal and place into a greased baking pan. Cover and let rise about 15 minutes. Bake in a preheated oven (200°C (approximately 400°F)) for about 35-40 minutes. Remove and cool slightly in the pan. Turn the bread out of the pan and cool completely.
