- Ingredients
- 1 cube fresh Yeast
- 1 kilogram Whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 250 grams Yogurt (0.1% fat)
- 3 Tbsps sunflower oil
Preparation steps
1.
Dissolve the yeast in 250 ml lukewarm water (approximately 1 cup) until smooth. Place flour and salt in a mixing bowl, add the dissolved yeast, yogurt and oil and knead with the kneading of the electric hand mixer until smooth. Add a little warm water or flour if necessary. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 45 minutes.
2.
Knead the dough on a floured surface.
3.
Shape the dough into a large loaf and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Cut into the top a few times. Let rest another 25 minutes.
4.
Bake in the preheated oven at 220°C (approximately 430°F) about 60-70 minutes. The bread is done when it sounds hollow when tapped.
