Nutritional values

Goat cheese is not only aromatic, but also easily digestible. Thanks to the short-chain fatty acids, most people tolerate goat's cheese well even with a sensitive stomach. In addition, the spicy dairy product provides plenty of high-quality protein and bone-strengthening calcium.

If you can't get fresh figs or don't like them, try the recipe with nectarines or pears!

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse figs, pat dry, trim stalks, and cut into slices. Rinse the orange in hot water, pat dry, and zest.

2.

Warm the wine, half of the orange zest, cinnamon, and 3 tablespoons honey over low heat, stirring occasionally until the honey has dissolved. Add the figs and simmer, covered, for about 2 minutes. Remove from heat, cool briefly.

3.

Drain the figs, reserving the sauce. Return the sauce to the pan and reduce until syrupy. Let cool slightly.

4.

Toast the pine nuts in a dry skillet over medium heat until fragrant. Stir together the goat cheese with sour cream until smooth. Spoon the goat cheese mixture into 4 bowls.

5.

Top the cheese mixture with figs. Drizzle with sauce and remaining honey. Sprinkle with pine nuts and remaining orange zest.
