Preparation steps

1.

Soak peas in plenty of water overnight. Peel and slice the celery. Peel, rinse and dice the carrots and potatoes. Peel 1 onion and the garlic cloves and chop finely. Heat 2 tablespoons butter in a large pot. Add onion, garlic, potatoes, carrots and celery and sauté until soft. Drain peas, add to the pot and add the broth. Simmer everything about 1 hour.

2.

Meanwhile, peel the remaining onion and cut into thin rings. Cut the ham slice into cubes. At the end of cooking time, mash soup with a potato masher until creamy and season with salt and pepper. Cut the hot dogs into pieces and heat along with the diced ham in the pot. In a frying pan, heat the remaining butter and sauté onion rings until tender. Stir meat, onion and chopped parsley into the stew and serve.
