2 Tbsps vegetable oil
3 Tbsps honey
1 pinch ground cinnamon
1 pinch ground cilantro
150 milliliters Port wine
5 Tbsps balsamic vinegar
3 Tbsps raisins

Preparation steps

1.

Peel onions and cut into thin strips. Heat oil in a saucepan, saute onions lightly, add honey and caramelize onions, stirring.

2.

Add all spices and port wine, vinegar and 70 ml (approximately 1/3 cup) of water. Add raisins, season with salt and pepper and simmer, uncovered, for 30-40 minutes on low heat. Stir occasionally and add more water, if necessary. Place into serving bowls and serve.
