8 slices whole grain bread
80 grams cream cheese
2 Tomatoes
4 sheets Lettuce
2 Beet sprouts (or radish sprouts)
4 slices Emmentaler cheese (or young Gouda)
salt
freshly ground peppers

Preparation steps

1.

Spread 1 teaspoon of cream cheese on each slice of bread. Rinse tomatoes. Rinse lettuce, trim and spin dry. Rinse beet sprouts with cold water and drain.

2.

Remove stems on tomatoes and cut crosswise into slices. Tear lettuce into bite-sized pieces.

3.

Arrange four slices of bread on a work surface, cover with Emmentaler cheese and tomatoes and season with salt and pepper. Place sprouts and lettuce on tomatoes and cover with another slice of bread.

4.

Cut bread diagonally and secure each with a toothpick. Serve immediately.
