Hearty Bean Stew
Peel the potatoes and cut into bite-sized pieces. Rinse and peel the green beans and the wide beans. Cut the pancetta into strips. Peel the onion and chop finely. Sauté onion with the pancetta in oil for 2-3 minutes until translucent. Deglaze with the broth and add the potatoes. Simmer about 10 minutes, then add beans and 1 sprig savory. Season with salt and pepper and cook for about 10 minutes.
Rinse the pears, cut into quarters and remove cores. Add to stew and cook until done, about 5 minutes.
Remove the savory sprig, season stew to taste and distribute the stew among bowls.
Garnish with remaining savory.
