- 2 medium, gala Apple (sliced lengthwise)
- 1 medium Pear (sliced lengthwise)
- 1 ½ cups water
- 0.333 cup Passover dry white wine
- 1 stick cinnamon (7.5cm|3 inches)
- 1 Orange peel (cut into thin strips)
- ¾ cup Orange juice
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 Tbsps lemon juice
- ⅛ tsp ground allspice
- ⅛ tsp ground ginger
- ⅛ tsp ground cinnamon
Preparation steps

In a large saucepan combine sliced fruits, water, wine, and stick cinnamon. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, covered, 15 to 20 minutes or until fruit is tender. With slotted spoon transfer fruit to bowl and discard cinnamon stick.

Add orange peel to liquid in saucepan; simmer 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in orange juice, honey, lemon juice, allspice, ginger, and ground cinnamon. Return fruit to saucepan; heat to boiling. Remove from heat; cool to room temperature.

Serve at room temperature. If desired, drain fruit before serving.
