- 2 ounces Dates
- 2 ounces Sliced almonds
- 1 ounce Sunflower seeds
- 1 ounce Shelled peanut (unsalted)
- 2 ounces 5-Grain cereal flakes
- 1 ounce Puffed amaranth
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 ounce Golden raisins
- 1 pinch Salt
- 3 ounces Butter
- 2 ounces Cane sugar
- 4 tablespoons liquid Honey
Remove pits from dates and chop.
Combine almonds, sunflower seeds, peanuts, 5-grain flakes, amaranth and dates in a bowl. Add cinnamon, raisins and salt. Mix well.
Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Mix in sugar and honey, raise heat to medium, stirring constantly.
Carefully add the hot sugar mixture to the remaining ingredients. Mix thoroughly with a wooden spoon. Line a springform pan (24 cm diameter) with parchment paper and pour in the mixture.
Press evenly into pan. Bake in preheated oven at 180 ° C (fan: not recommended, gas mark 2-3) (approximately 350 ° F) for 25 minutes. Allow to cool completely. Release sprinform pan and cut into triangles.
