- 18 ounces Tofu
- 1 ½ tablespoons Nut oil
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- salt
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ⅞ cup chicken stock
- 2 teaspoons Corn starch (mixed with 1 tbsp water)
- 2 teaspoons Sesame seeds
- ½ bunch scallions
- Oyster sauce
Preparation steps
1.
Cut the tofu into triangles and mix with the soy sauce.

Heat 1 1/2 tbsp oil in a frying pan. Drain the tofu and fry on all sides, then take out of the pan and keep warm.

Add 1/2 tsp salt to the soy sauce drained from the tofu and boil, stirring, for about 1 minute. Add the cayenne pepper and boil for 30 seconds, then add the stock and simmer for about 2 minutes. Stir the mixed cornflour into the sauce and simmer for one more minute. Add oyster sauce to taste.

Wash and trim the spring onions and shred or cut into strips.
5.
To serve, arrange the fried tofu on plates, add a little sauce and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve garnished with spring onions.
