- 12 ozs extra-firm Tofu (drained and pressed to remove excess moisture)
- olive oil
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ tsp Garlic salt
- ¼ tsp peppers
- ½ cup whole wheat breadcrumbs (heaped)
- To serve
- cooked Asparagus
- 1 Tbsp Sesame seeds
- To garnish
- 1 red chili pepper (seeds removed, cut into strips)
- Lime wedge
Preparation steps

Heat the oven to 190ºC (170º fan) 375ºF, gas 5. Line a baking tray with non-stick baking paper.

Cut the tofu into wedges about 4mm|1/4" thick and brush lightly with olive oil.
3.
Mix together the remaining ingredients and dip each wedge into the mixture until well coated.

Place on the baking tray and bake for about 30 minutes until golden, turning the wedges over halfway through the cooking time.
5.
Arrange the asparagus on a serving plate, sprinkle with sesame seeds and place the wedges on top. Garnish with chilli strips and lime wedges.
