4 cups Sieved tomatoes
2 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
cup dry Red wine
3.333 cups ground Meat
1 onion (diced)
1 egg
1 teaspoon medium Mustard
1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
12 sheets Lasagne noodle
2 balls Mozzarella (approx. 125 g | 0.5 cup)
¾ cup Parmesan (grated)
fresh Fresh herbs (e. g. oregano and basil, to garnish)

Preparation steps

1.
Mix the tomatoes with half the garlic. Stir in the wine, season with salt, ground black pepper and a pinch of sugar and set aside.
2.
Mix the remaining garlic with the minced meat, onion, egg, mustard and the herbs. Season well with salt and ground black pepper.
3.
Heat the oven to 200°C (180 fan), 400°F, gas 6 and grease a baking dish with oil.
4.
Bring a large pan of hot water to the boil. Cook the lasagne sheets for around 5 minutes. Quench and drain and place in a line on the work surface.
5.
Place some of the meat filling on each sheet and roll up.
6.
Spread half the tomato mixture on the prepared baking dish, place the cannelloni on top and add the remaining sauce. Add the mozzarella, sprinkle with parmesan and bake for around 40 minutes. Serve garnished with fresh herbs.
