Anthocyanins and vitamin C from the juice of cherries can prevent disease, inhibit inflammation and support your immune system - possibly even preventing a runny nose in winter. Not only the warmth, but also Cinnamon, Cloves as well as star anise help with an irritated stomach and against a feeling of fullness after a heavy meal. The B vitamin pyridoxine contained in the citrus fruits makes you cheerful. Because the happy hormone serotonin can only be released when this substance is present. Reaching for punch instead of mulled wine containing alcohol does your body good. It is not sweetened by household sugar, but by juice and fruit, which also provide health-promoting compounds.

Alcohol-free punch with cherry juice can also be prepared with apple juice or grape juice instead of cherry juice. You can get cranberries in well-stocked supermarkets or health food stores.
