14 ozs Broccoli
1 onion (diced)
2 Tbsps butter
2 Tbsps flour
cup cream (at least 30% fat)
1.333 cups milk
1 ½ cups Cheddar cheese (grated)
1 Tbsp fresh parsley

Preparation steps

1.
Heat the oven to 180°C (160°C in a fan oven), 375°F, gas 5.
2.
Cook the macaroni in salt water until al dente. Drain and quench.
3.
Blanche the broccoli in salt water for 3-4 minutes, quench and drain.
4.
Fry the onion in hot butter for 1-2 minutes and stir in the flour. Add the cream and milk and simmer for approx. 5 minutes stirring continuously.
5.
Mix the macaroni with the broccoli and half the cheese and place in a baking dish. Pour the cream sauce over it and sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes. Serve garnished with parsley.
