1 pinch salt
100 grams Milk chocolate
1 Vanilla bean (seeds)
1 tsp Ground cinnamon
180 grams Pastry flour
1 tsp Baking powder
75 grams chopped Macadamia Nuts
75 grams raisins
1 egg

Preparation steps

For the dough, beat the butter, sugar and 1 pinch of salt until fluffy. Stir in the chopped chocolate, vanilla seeds and cinnamon. Mix the flour and baking powder. Knead the flour mixture, nuts, raisins and egg into the butter mixture. Form the dough into a ball, wrap in plastic and chill for about 1 hour.

Use a small spoon to portion out heaps of the dough onto a lined baking sheet. Form each portion into a ball. Bake for about 10 minutes at 180°C (approximately 350°F). Remove from the oven and let cool. For the decoration, coarsely chop the chocolate and melt over a hot water bath. Halve 20 macadamia nuts and coarsely chop the remaining nuts. Top each cookie with a teaspoon of chocolate and one walnut half. Sprinkle with chopped nuts, let dry and serve.
