Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
For the dough, beat the butter until creamy. Alternately add the sugar and eggs. Stir in salt, nuts, milk and grated lemon peel. Mix the baking powder with the flour, sift and stir into the butter mixture. Spread the batter evenly on the baking sheet and bake 35-45 minutes until golden brown.
Serve dusted with powdered sugar.
