- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
- ½ cup Shortening
- ½ cup butter (softened)
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 ¼ cups unbleached all-purpose flour
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 ¼ cups white chocolate (cut into 1/2-inch chunks)
- 1 ¼ cups Macadamia Nuts (coarsely chopped)

Preparation steps
1.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a large bowl, beat sugars, shortening, butter, egg and vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed, until light and fluffy. Stir in flour, salt and baking soda, dough will be stiff. Stir in white chocolate chunks and nuts.

Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet, spaced about 2-inches apart.
4.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet; transfer cookies from baking sheet to wire rack. Serve.
