250 grams fine sugar
1 packet Vanilla sugar
1 pinch salt
250-300g (approximately 8-10 ounces) Shredded coconut

Preparation steps

1.

Beat egg whites until very stiff, gradually adding sugar, vanilla sugar and salt. Fold in grated coconut. Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Set on tray in walnut-sized piles and shape into pyramids.

2.

Bake in a preheated oven at 150°C (approximately 300°F) for 30 minutes until the edges are lightly browned.

3.

Melt chocolate in a water bath. Dip one corner of coconut pyramid in chocolate. Let dry.

4.

For presentation (if desired), fasten the pyramids onto a small Christmas tree.
