Rinse parsley, tarragon,chives and thyme and shake dry. Remove coarse stalks of parsley and tarragon and finely chop leaves. Cut chives into rolls. Strip leaves from sprigs of thyme and chop.
Mix herbs in a bowl with lime zest and soft butter in a bowl well with a fork and season with salt and pepper. Shape into a log, wrap in aluminum foil and place in the refrigerator. Let set and serve as desired.
