Preparation steps

1.

For the waffles: Cream the butter with the eggs and salt until smooth. Add the flour, milk, and herbs. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes and season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.

Heat the waffle iron to medium heat. Brush with oil and bake several thin waffles until golden brown.

For the herb quark: Beat the cream until stiff and fold into the quark. Peel the garlic and press. Add the garlic, lemon juice, and the herbs to the quark. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

4.

For the applesauce: Peel the apples, remove the seeds, and cut into small pieces. Cook until soft with the water and cinnamon. Puree and serve with the waffles and herb quark.
