Preparation steps

1.

Cook sausages in hot oil in about 8 minutes. Turn slowly until golden brown all around.

2.

Prepare fryer and heat (165°C, approximately 330°F) oil in a sufficiently large saucepan (the oil is hot enough when bubbles ascend a wooden spoon handle dipped in).

3.

Peel the potatoes, cut into sticks and dry well.

4.

Add potato strips in portions to oil and cook approximately 5 minutes until soft but have taken no color, then remove.

5.

Increase the temperature to 190°C (approximately 375°F). Cook potatoes in portions again for about 2 minutes to crisp. Remove, drain well, sprinkle with salt and serve immediately.

6.

Dollop sausages with ketchup, sprinkle curry powder to taste and serve with the fries.
