- 3 egg whites
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 ¼ cups powdered sugar
- To decorate
- colored Sugar ball
- powdered sugar
Preparation steps

Heat the oven to 120°C (100°C in a fan oven), 250°F, gas 1/2 and line a baking tray with grease-proof paper.

Beat the egg whites with the lemon juice and a pinch of salt until fluffy, gradually adding the sugar as you beat. Continue beating until the mixture is white and glossy and forms peaks.

Spoon the mixture into a piping bag with a thin, smooth nozzle and pipe snowflakes onto the baking tray. Decorate with colourful sugar balls if desired. Bake in the oven for around 40 minutes, leaving the oven door slightly ajar. The meringues should remain as white as possible.

Remove from the oven and leave to cool. Dust with icing sugar before serving.
