- 1 smaller Pumpkin (. Eg Hokkaido; 1 kg)
- 1 egg
- 100 grams breadcrumbs
- 50 grams Parmesan (grated)
- 2 tsps finely chopped rosemary
- vegetable oil (for cooking)

Preparation steps

Peel pumpkin, cut in half, remove seeds and cut into sticks 1 cm (approximately 1/2 inch) wide. Blanch pumpkin pins in boiling salted water for 2 minutes, then drain, rinse in cold water and drain.

Mix crumbs, Parmesan and rosemary on a flat plate. Open the egg in a deep plate. Turn the pumpkin slices in egg then in crumb mixture. Heat oil in a pan and cook the pumpkin pins in portions until golden brown. Place finished pins in the oven (70°C, (approximately 160°F) to keep warm, then serve when all are cooked.
