80 grams smoked, sliced Bacon
1 onion
3 garlic cloves
1 chili pepper
2 red Bell pepper
250 grams peeled Tomatoes (canned; with juice)
½ bunch cilantro
3 Tbsps vegetable oil
400 grams Ground beef
2 tsps Cumin
salt
freshly ground peppers
3 Tbsps Chili powder
250 grams Kidney beans

Preparation steps

1.

Cut bacon into small cubes. Peel onion and garlic cloves and finely chop. Rinse chile peppers and chop finely.

Rinse bell peppers, remove seeds and cut into 0.5 cm (approximately 1/4 inch) pieces. Rinse coriander, pat dry, pluck leaves from the stems and finely chop.

Heat vegetable oil in a wok. Saute bacon, paprika, onion, chile peppers and garlic cubes while stirring. Add ground beef and fry until cooked and crumbly. Season with cumin, salt, pepper and chili seasoning.

4.

Add tomatoes with juice, kidney beans and stir. Cook chili covered with a lid over medium heat and let simmer for about 20 minutes. Season the dish to taste again, stir in cilantro and serve immediately.
