Preparation steps

1.

Rinse chile peppers, remove stems, cut in half lengthwise, remove seeds and cut into thin rings. Set aside a few rings for garnish. Peel onions and garlic and chop both finely. Heat oil in a saucepan and saute chile pepper rings, onions and garlic until soft, add ground meat and fry until crumbly. Add tomato paste, stir and then add a little broth. Simmer for approximately 30 minutes while stirring occasionally. Add broth if necessary.

2.

Drain beans, rinse, drain again, add to the saucepan, cook for about 15 minutes and season with salt, pepper and paprika. Cut bacon into strips and fry in a pan until crispy.

3.

Spread chili on plates, cover with bacon and serve garnished with 1 tablespoon sour cream, some basil and reserved chile peppers.

4.

Serve with bread if desired.
