4 onions
2 garlic cloves
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp Caraway
1 Tbsp Tomato paste
200 milliliters dry Red wine
500 milliliters Beef broth
2 Tbsps sweet ground paprika
300 grams green Beans
salt
cayenne pepper

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse the meat, pat dry and cut into bite-sized cubes. Peel the onions and garlic. Chop the garlic finely and cut the onion into chunks.

Heat the oil in a saucepan and sear the meat on all sides. Add the onions and caraway seeds and cook for 3-4 minutes, until the onions are tender. Add the garlic and tomato paste and stir to combine. Deglaze with the red wine then add about 300 ml (approximately 1 1/4 cups) broth and add the paprika. Reduce the heat to low and simmer, partially covered, until the meat is tender, about 1 hour 30 minutes.

Rinse the green beans, trim and cut in half. Add to the goulash for the last 10 minutes.

Season with salt and cayenne pepper.

Serve with white bread, if desired.
